Practitioner Education
The Creighton Model FertilityCare System is able to be presented with the highest quality of an allied health profession. This is a result of the intense and standardized education and accreditation that is required in order to become a Creighton Model FertilityCare Practitioner. Below is an outline of the 13 month training process required in order to become a FertilityCare Practitioner.
Education Phase I
This is an 8 day immersion course. Following are some of the topics that are covered during this course:

Anatomy of the Male and Female Reproductive System
Statistical Parameters of the Menstrual Cycle
Ovulation and the Hormones of the Menstrual Cycle
Breastfeeding

Artifical Methods of Contraception
Induced Abortion
Natural Means for the Regulation of Fertility
Use Effectiveness of Natural and Artificial Methods of Family Planning
Basic Obstetrics and Gynecology

Teaching Fertility Appreciation
The "Inner Soul" of Human Sexuality
How to Present an Introductory Session
How to Conduct a Follow-up Session
The Teaching and Follow-up Schedule
Basic Charting and the Use of the Creighton Model FertilityCare System.

Supervised Practicum I
This is a 6 month supervised teaching experience at the student's home location to develop the skills of:
Presentation of the Introductory Session
Conducting Follow-up Sessions
Basic Case Management and Evaluation
Education Phase II
This is a 6 day immersion experience in order to obtain a more advanced understanding of the Creighton Model FertilityCare System. Some of the topics covered are:
The Management of Infertility, Unusual Bleeding, and Chronic Discharges
Advanced Case Management of Charts
Pregnancy Evaluations
Advanced Behavioral and Moral Issues
NaProTECHNOLOGY
Supplemental Protocols
Long Distance Follow-up

Supervised Practicum II
This is a 7 month advanced teaching experience at the student's home location it includes:
Faculty Supervised Teaching Experience
On-site Visit by a Faculty Member in Order to Observe an Introductory Session and Follow-up Session and to do a Comprehensive Case Review
Developing Skills for Handling More Advanced Case Management
Final Certificate Examination
This is a 6 hour, professionally administered exam that tests the student's knowledge of and application of the Creighton Model FertilityCare System.
